Between 2011 and 2014 (ongoing), SS Electrics has been responsible for project managing the electrical works for the redevelopment of H.M. Langi Kal Kal Prison in regional Victoria. This major infrastructure upgrade has included the addition of accommodation units and security holding cells for several hundred in-mates, as well as an architecturally designed Visitors' Centre and Administration Building boasting the latest technology and cutting edge security systems. A storage warehouse, Programs Building, further accommodation wings and workshops were more recent additions to the site in 2013/14.

This complex project has seen essential electrical services installed throughout the prison. Hundreds of kilometres of cable have been run from the main control room to accommodation blocks, recreation centres and industries buildings via large networks of conduit and pits. Some buildings have been equipped with high impact resistance fittings with monitored fire, duress and access controls. Fire, security, CCTV, data and phone systems have formed significant components of this multi-million dollar electrical project.
